FOTC Seattle is the new local headquarters for a national non-profit which offers mentoring and other support programs to at-risk youth. Hired to provide interior design services (much of it donated), the design COLLECTIVE produced a conceptual scheme called “Boulevard” to bring the urban context and energy of the transformative Columbia City neighborhood into the building. The primary circulation became a boardwalk to connect the program spaces serving different functions and age levels. The scheme uses accents of vibrant color, surprising material choices, and residential queues to create a fun and interesting home base for exploration and growth.
